Іn December 2018, the XXII Ukrainian Students' Scientific and Practical Conference "Ukraine: History, Culture, Memory" was held on the basis of the Department of History of the National Technical University of Ukraine "Kyiv Polytechnic Institute".

 3 students of NTU "KhPI" participated in the conference, the delegation was headed by associate professor I. V. Dvorkin. The scientific management of the reports was carried out by the Department of Ukrainian Studies, Cultural Studies and the History of Science. The report of the student of the educational-scientific engineering-physical institute Ruslan Zamorin was devoted to the influence of the Zaporozhian Cossacks on the development of the Don Cossacks. Student of the Faculty of Computer Science and Software Engineering Khritina Bassenko made a report "The Second World War by the eyes of the child", which is built on an interview with her grandmother. Anna Kochura (KH Faculty) highlighted in her report the lives of the inhabitants of the village during the "stagnation" period. Students received their certificates.

Center for Ukrainian Studies conducts an international scientific conference

"Consolidation problems of the post-colonial age in contemporary Ukrainian discourse: hypotheses, concepts, results, perspectives"

The conference is expected to address the following issues:

- The ideological and ideological principles of the consolidation of Ukrainian transition.
- Activities of the Ukrainian Churches in the Context of the Consolidation of Ukrainians.
- Ideological principles of consolidation processes in post-colonial Ukraine.
- Ukrainian diaspora: consolidation experience and anti-colonial (anti-Soviet) practices.
- Cultural aspects in the context of the consolidation problems of the transitional (postcolonial) era in Ukraine.
- Perspective directions of the study of consolidation of modern Ukrainians.

We invite specialists from the humanities to publish scientific articles in the regular issue (No. 23) of the Ukrainian-language almanac, approved by the SAC of Ukraine as a specialized publication in the field of philosophical and historical sciences.

"Ukrainian Studies Almanac" was recognized as the basic professional scientific publication under the section number 20 "Social-historical sciences" in accordance with the decision of the Scientific Council of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine (minutes from 04/26/2017)

Articles and applications for participation in the conference should be submitted by October 1, 2018.

For our department this year is the first one: according to the decision of the Academic Council of NTU "KhPI", teachers of the Department of Ethics, Aesthetics and the History of Culture, the Department of Political History and the Department of History of Science and Technology were united. Currently 3 congruent sections are in the Department of Ukrainian Studies, Cultural Studies and the History of Science.

So let this academic year be a happy and productive one for all faculty, staff and students who study the discipline of the department. And this is every student of NTU "KhPI". We wish you all outstanding achievements in studying, teaching and research.

Media Group "Objective" has published material on the opening of the exhibition "Childless Childhood" in the Kharkiv Historical Museum named after Sumtsov in May 2018. The initiator of the exhibition is professor of the Department of Ethics, Aesthetics and History of Culture Mikhailo Krasikov, and it contains the works made by students of NTU "KhPI".

 

The Department of Ethics, Aesthetics and History of Culture and the  Ethnographic museum "Slobozhansky Skarby" named after Hnat Khotkevych invite to the opening of the exhibition "Childless Childhood: 1941 - 1945" on the results of the local lore competition. The exhibition includes the creative works of the students of the NTU" KhPI ".

Opening of the exhibition: May 8 at 14:00 in the Kharkiv Historical Museum.

Today, April 19, 2018, in the framework of the International Scientific and Theoretical Conference of Students and Postgraduates "Ukraine and the World: Humanitarian and Technical Elite and Social Progress", the session of the section "Spiritual Culture of Ukraine: Traditions and Present" wtook place. The meeting was chaired by the head of the Department of Ethics, Aesthetics and History of Culture NTU "KhPI", candidate of Philosophy Sciences, prof. Olena Oleksandrivna Petutina. The reports were delivered by students and students of the National Technical University "Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute", V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, and Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts. Each report was accompanied by a lively and constructive discussion.

April 18-19, 2018  - the International Scientific and Theoretical Conference of Students and Postgraduates "Ukraine and the World: Humanitarian and Technical Elite and Social Progress".

On April 1, 2018 Professor of the Department of Ethics, Aesthetics and History of Culture Mykhailo Krasikov participated in the opening of the exhibition of works of art "Diaries on the roadside" of Dmitry Didorenko in Parkhomivka Regional Museum.
