Professor of the Department of Higher Mathematics. Has been working at NTU “KhPI” at the Department of Higher Mathematics since 2000.

Graduated with honors from Kharkiv Aviation Institute of Engineering, specialty “Economics and Management in Mechanical Engineering”. Candidate of Technical Sciences, specialty 01.05.02 – Mathematical Modeling and Computational Methods.

In 2006 Shmatko T.V. became the first winner of the First Regional Competition “The Best Young Scientist of Kharkiv Region-2006” in the nomination “Mathematics and Informatics”. She received the title of Associate Professor of the Department of Higher Mathematics in 2008.

Shmatko T.V. is a co-author of the biographical collection “Volodymyr Logvynovych Rvachev: This Man. Many Called – Few Chosen” (2006), which was dedicated to the life and scientific activities of the outstanding Ukrainian academician V.L. Rvachev.

In 2015 she won an international Grant as a Visiting Academic to one of the UK’s top 20 universities (ranked 16th by the Complete University Guide 2015) – the University of Southampton (Great Britain) for research work for 10 months.

In 2022 Shmatko T.V. won an international Grant from SAPIENZA University of Rome, Italy to carry out research work as a Visiting Professor, September-December 2022.

Twice received international Grants from the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia UNIMORE, Italy, aimed to collaborate with leading researchers at the University of Modena, Italy for foreign professors and researchers (2022, 2024).
Shmatko T.V. was elected to the international organizing committee of the Third International Conference on Nonlinear Dynamics NODYCON 2023, Rome, Italy (October-December 2022).

Shmatko T.V. takes an active part in many international conferences, congresses and symposiums in the field of nonlinear dynamics, mathematical modeling and research of plates and shallow shells. She has made many live reports at such well-known international conferences as DSTA, ENOC, EUROMECH, NODYCON in different countries (Poland, Hungary, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Great Britain and others). She also participates in well-known international conferences that periodically take place in Ukraine (“Current Problems of Mechanics” in Kyiv, Mathematical Problems of Mechanics of Inhomogeneous Structures in Lviv, “International Conference on Advanced Mechanical and Power Engineering (CAMPE)” in Kharkiv).

She is the author and co-author of more than 100 scientific articles published in leading native and international scientific journals, such as “Reports of the NAS of Ukraine”, “Mechanics of Deformed Solids”, “Mathematical Methods and Physical-Mechanical Fields”, “Composite Structures”, “Latin American Journal of Solids and Structures”, “Nonlinear Dynamics”, “International Journal of Non-Linear Mechanics”. Her scientific work, which was published in the journal “Mathematical and Computational Applications”, became the Cover Story for future issues.

Shmatko T.V. has co-authored 3 monographs, 31 scientific papers indexed in the Scopus and Web of Science databases, Hirsch index 10 (Google Scholar), 9 (Scopus) and 7 (Web of Science).

Nonlinear dynamics of thin-walled structures elements of complex shape is the field of her scientific interest.
