Shared Research Facility “Advanced Power Engineering Laboratory” (SRF “APEL”) is an interdisciplinary research hub developing the mathematical, computational, and data-driven foundations for complex, adaptive power systems operating under extreme conditions.
Inspired by the resilience and transformation of Ukraine’s power grid, we move beyond traditional engineering to pioneer next-generation theoretical and computational models.
Research areas and studies
- Structural and Operational Evolution of Power Systems under Critical Conditions
- Computational and Data-Driven Foundations of Digital Twins for Renewable-Rich Energy Systems with Distributed Energy Storage
- Early Identification of Problems in Oil-Filled Equipment
- Computational Models and Methods for the Analysis of Energetic Processes
Instruments&Equipment
Members of the SRF “APEL” work with and have access to various equipment, such as:
- different workstations
- instruments for determining the physical and chemical properties of transformer oil
- solar and wind power plants
- and so on
