On December 14, a unique career guidance event in the format of an open dialogue with students took place in the safe space of NTU “KhPI”.
The event brought together students from various study programs of two educational and research institutes of the university:
🎓 Educational and Research Institute of Computer Modeling, Applied Physics and Mathematics (ICM)
🎓 Educational and Research Institute of Energy, Electronics and Electromechanics (IEEEM)
In an informal atmosphere, students shared their personal experiences of admission and study, talked about the opportunities offered by studying at NTU “KhPI”, and discussed prospects for further academic development and employment.
During the live discussion, a number of important topics were addressed:
🔹 how to choose a study program and find one’s professional path
🔹 how to study effectively in today’s conditions
🔹 participation in projects and competitions, and opportunities for self-realization
🔹 combining studies with work
🔹 tips and insights on successful admission from students and representatives of the Admissions Committee

Among the speakers was Yelyzaveta Yakymenko, a 4th-year student of the G7 study program “Automation, Computer-Integrated Technologies and Robotics” and head of group ICM-722A. Yelyzaveta is an active participant in competitions and hackathons, studies with excellent results, and has significant practical experience, which she willingly shared with prospective applicants.

In addition to interacting with students, participants had the opportunity to visit departmental demonstration stands, communicate with faculty members and directors of both institutes, learn about the specifics of the 2025 admission campaign from the Secretary of the Admissions Committee, view presentations, explore demonstration models, and even control a self-driving robot.
