Meeting with Stakeholders from the “Apteka 9-1-1” Pharmacy Chain: Outcomes and Discussion of Educational Programs

The Department of Biotechnology, Biophysics and Analytical Chemistry hosted a meeting between students and stakeholders of the pharmaceutical sector — representatives of the “Apteka 9-1-1” pharmacy chain.

The event served as an important platform for open dialogue between students, academic staff, and employers, aimed at improving the quality of training for specialists in the field of G21 “Biotechnology and Bioengineering”.

During the meeting, company representatives shared their practical experience in the pharmaceutical industry, outlined current requirements for young professionals, and emphasized the importance of developing key competencies, including:

  • analytical thinking and decision-making skills;
  • knowledge of modern methods of pharmaceutical quality control;
  • professional communication and customer interaction skills;
  • readiness for continuous professional development.

Special attention was given to the discussion of educational programs, including:

  • alignment of Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs) with labor market needs;
  • updating the content of educational components (courses) based on industry demands;
  • strengthening the practical training of students;
  • expanding opportunities for internships and elements of dual education;
  • integration of interdisciplinary approaches (biotechnology, pharmacy, bioinformatics).

Students had the opportunity to ask questions, receive professional advice on career development, and gain a deeper understanding of the pharmaceutical profession.

The outcomes of the meeting will be taken into account in further improvement of the educational programs, contributing to the training of competitive specialists capable of meeting modern labor market challenges.
