PhD Supervisors

Olga  Bliznjuk, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of Biotechnology, Biophysics and Analytical Chemistry

Research Interests:

Chemical and Biotechnologies, namely: development of technologies for the production of nitrogen-containing compounds using catalytic and biocatalytic processes; development of catalysts for the neutralization of techno- and anthropogenic pollution and bioremediation; and development of technologies for the extraction and preservation of biologically active substances from plant and animal raw materials.

Chemical and Molecular Biophysics, namely: investigation of energy transfer mechanisms in condensed media to local centers and the formation of molecular and biomolecular nanocomplexes; determination of approaches to controlling the functional properties of macromolecules and their associates through influencing systems of numerous covalent and non-covalent intra- and intermolecular interactions; development of remote non-destructive methods for analyzing stimulated modifications of bonding systems in biopolymers and functional materials; and development of theoretical foundations of biotechnology and bioengineering. The research results have been presented at numerous international scientific conferences, seminars, and symposia.

Based on these studies, experimental setups have been created and new analytical methods have been developed for investigating multicomponent biocatalytic systems and bionanotechnologies for their modification.
