On April 14, 2026, representatives of NTU “KhPI” participated in an outreach STEAM event held at Lubny Lyceum No. 2 (Lubny, Poltava region), aimed at promoting the educational program “Biotechnology and Bioengineering” and supporting the career orientation of prospective applicants.
The Department of Biotechnology, Biophysics and Analytical Chemistry of NTU “KhPI” was represented at the event by Associate Professor Oksana Zviahintseva, who contributed to the organization of interactive STEAM stations designed to demonstrate practical aspects of modern biotechnology, biophysical approaches, and analytical research methods.
As part of the program, which started at 12:00, interactive STEAM locations were organized, where students had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the fundamentals of experimental science, modern approaches to the analysis of biological systems, and the applications of biotechnology in medicine, pharmaceuticals, the food industry, and environmental protection.
Special emphasis was placed on presenting the educational program “Biotechnology and Bioengineering,” highlighting its interdisciplinary nature, modern laboratory infrastructure, and the professional prospects available to graduates.
The event was conducted in the format of open scientific and educational interaction and brought together approximately 280 students, who actively participated in demonstrations, asked questions, and engaged in interactive activities.
Following the completion of the interactive sessions, an educational and entertaining Kahoot! quiz was held, helping to reinforce the acquired knowledge in an accessible and dynamic format.
The participation of the Department of Biotechnology, Biophysics and Analytical Chemistry in such events is an important component of career guidance activities aimed at fostering interest in natural sciences, developing STEM competencies, and encouraging young people to enroll in the educational program “Biotechnology and Bioengineering.”
