As part of its career guidance activities, representatives of the Department of Ceramics, Refractories, Glass and Enamels of the National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute” visited the Epicentr Ceramic Corporation plant.
The event was attended by the Head of the Department, Olena Yuriyivna Fedorenko, and Professor of the Department, Lyudmyla Pavlivna Shchukina.
The purpose of the visit was to introduce the enterprise staff to the fundamentals of ceramic materials technology, as well as to promote the educational opportunities offered by the department among industry professionals.
During the event, a lecture was delivered in presentation format, highlighting the key aspects of ceramic production technology — from the characteristics of raw materials to the main stages of the technological process. Special attention was given to the types of clays, their origin, properties, and influence on the quality of the final product.
The event participants included shop managers, heads of structural units, and production supervisors. During the live discussion, they had the opportunity to receive answers to current production-related questions, which contributed to enhancing their professional awareness.
The lecture material was presented in an accessible and well-structured form and generated considerable interest among the audience. The high level of professional competence of the lecturers, as well as the substantive and practical orientation of the information, were noted.
As part of the career guidance component of the event, participants were informed about the educational opportunities available at the department, including the possibility of combining study with professional activity.
