The Department of Ceramic, Refractory, Glass, and Enamel Technologies Participated in the STEAM Zone at “School Holidays with KhPI: MIND WARS”

On October 29, 2026, as part of the career guidance event “School Holidays with KhPI: MIND WARS”, the Department of Ceramic, Refractory, Glass, and Enamel Technologies took part in the STEAM zone, where participants had the opportunity to explore the world of science, technology, and innovation.

Department representatives prepared an educational activity aimed at promoting materials science and demonstrating fascinating aspects of modern technologies for manufacturing ceramics, glass, and other non-metallic materials.

Participants had the opportunity not only to learn more about the properties of various materials, their production methods, and applications in everyday life, but also to discover that the familiar objects surrounding us are the result of fascinating scientific processes, technological solutions, and engineering developments.

Particular attention was paid to the interactive format, as experiments, hands-on activities, and personal discoveries provide young people with the best opportunity to experience just how fascinating and promising natural sciences and engineering can be.

The Department’s participation in the event provided an excellent opportunity to showcase the variety of academic programmes to prospective students and introduce them to the educational opportunities and career prospects available in the field of modern materials science.

Science becomes more exciting when you can see it, explore it, and experience it firsthand! Events like this help young people discover their talents, develop their curiosity, and take their first steps towards choosing a future profession.
