The All-Ukrainian scientific and technical journal “Internal Combustion Engines” is published at the department.
The scientific and technical journal “Internal Combustion Engines” was founded by the National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute” in 2002 (Certificate of the State Committee for Information Policy, Television and Radio Broadcasting of Ukraine KV No. 6393 dated July 29, 2002) and was included in the List of Scientific and Professional Publications of Ukraine. In 2010, the journal was re-registered (Resolution of the Higher Attestation Commission of Ukraine No. 1-05/1 dated February 10, 2010).
The journal is published twice a year, in which articles are printed in Ukrainian, English or German. It is the legal successor of the scientific and technical collection “Internal Combustion Engines” of the Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute, the publication of which began in 1965.
The editor-in-chief of the journal is Andriy Petrovich Marchenko, Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine, Academician of the Academy of Higher Education of Ukraine, Laureate of the State Prize, Professor, Doctor of Technical Sciences.
The journal’s publications consider fundamental and applied problems of modern engine engineering, present the results of scientific research carried out by teachers and scientists of higher education and NASU, postgraduate students, doctoral candidates, specialists of industry institutions, production enterprises of Ukraine and abroad, analyze problems related to the improvement of designs, operation, production technology of internal combustion engines, and pay attention to the history of engine engineering.
The journal actively cooperates with well-known scientific schools operating at NTU “KhPI” and other higher educational institutions of Ukraine and other countries, in particular, at the National Transport University, Kharkiv National Automobile and Road University, and the Ukrainian State Academy of Railway Transport.
The journal is registered in the International System of Registration of Serials (Periodics) under the standardized code ISSN 0419-8719.
An electronic copy of the journal is available in open access on the websites of the Department of “Engines and Hybrid Power Plants” and the Scientific and Technical Library of NTU “KhPI”, and is stored in the national abstract database “Ukrainika Naukova” (free online access to resources on the Web Server of the V.I. Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine) (Ukraine).
