Career Guidance Meeting with Students of Lyceum No. 70, Kharkiv

On November 26, 2025, the Department of Electric Transport and Diesel Locomotive Engineering of NTU “KhPI,” in cooperation with the administration of Lyceum No. 70 in Kharkiv, held an online career guidance meeting for senior students. During the event, future applicants received comprehensive and up-to-date information about the department’s academic programmes, areas of training, and employment prospects in the fields of electromechanics and railway transport.

Faculty representatives presented key directions of professional preparation, highlighted the development trends of electric transport, and described the department’s scientific activities. Particular attention was given to the importance of building an individual learning trajectory, which enables students to acquire modern engineering competencies. The lecturers also outlined the opportunities of distance learning and the specifics of its implementation at the university.

A separate part of the meeting was devoted to the Preparatory Courses of NTU “KhPI.” Students learned about the structure and format of the courses, as well as the advantages they provide during admission—such as additional competitive points, improved readiness for the National Multi-Subject Test (NMT), and early adaptation to the academic environment of the university.

The students demonstrated strong interest in engineering specialties, actively asking questions about the educational process and admission procedures. An interactive Kahoot quiz added an engaging element to the event, introducing the participants—in a playful format—to the degree programmes “Locomotives and Locomotive Facilities” and “Electromechanics” (Elective Module “Electric Transport”).

The department expresses sincere gratitude to Tetiana Mykolaivna Polozhyi, the director of Lyceum No. 70, for her organizational support and effective cooperation. We also thank the teachers who attended the meeting and contributed to its success:
Nataliia Mykhailivna Kotova, Chemistry Teacher;
Lidiia Oleksandrivna Tretiak, Teacher of Ukrainian Language and Literature.

We look forward to continued cooperation with Lyceum No. 70 and to future joint initiatives that will help students make informed and confident choices about their professional paths.
