🚂 On 14 December 2025, the National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute” hosted an inspiring career-orientation event titled “From Applicant to Student”, bringing together prospective applicants, students, lecturers, and representatives of the Admissions Committee.
Applicants were invited to meet students and faculty members of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Computer Modeling, Applied Physics and Mathematics, as well as the Educational and Scientific Institute of Energy, Electronics, and Electromechanics.
🔹 The Department of Electrical Transport and Diesel Locomotive Engineering of NTU “KhPI” took an active part in the event, presenting promising educational programs and modern approaches to training engineers for the energy and transport sectors.
Special attention during the meeting was given to the following specialties:
- ⚡ G3 – Electrical Engineering
- 🚆 J7 – Railway Transport
These fields attracted strong interest from applicants, as they combine solid fundamental engineering training, practical skills, hands-on work with modern equipment, and high demand in the labor market.
The meeting was held in the format of an open dialogue, during which the most important questions for future students were discussed:
- ✨ how to choose a specialty and find one’s professional path;
- 📚 how to study effectively in the context of modern challenges;
- 💡 participation in research projects, startups, and international programs;
- ⚙️ combining studies with work and gaining practical experience;
- 🎯 tips for successful admission from students and Admissions Committee representatives.
Students enrolled in the G3 “Electrical Engineering” and J7 “Railway Transport” programs shared their personal learning experiences, spoke about laboratory classes, project-based activities, internships at enterprises, and real opportunities for employment even while studying.
The discussion also involved directors of the educational and scientific institutes, who outlined the prospects for the development of engineering education at NTU “KhPI”, as well as the Secretary of the Admissions Committee, who provided detailed explanations of the specifics of the 2025 admission campaign and answered applicants’ questions.
🎁 A pleasant finale of the meeting was a prize draw among registered and attending participants, which added a festive atmosphere and positive emotions to the event.
The “From Applicant to Student” event once again proved that NTU “KhPI” is not only a university with long-standing traditions, but also a space of opportunities where a new generation of engineers — specialists in electrical engineering and railway transport — is being formed, already building the future of Ukraine today.
✨ We look forward to welcoming future students to our big Polytechnic family!
