An important event in the field of career guidance and educational cooperation was a meeting with students of the Kharkiv Motor Transport Professional College, organized through the joint efforts of the departments of two institutes of the National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute” (NTU “KhPI”) — the Institute of Electrical Power Engineering, Electronics and Electromechanics (EEM) and the Institute of Mechanical Engineering and Transport (MIT).
Representatives of the Departments of Electric Transport and Diesel Locomotive Engineering and Automobile and Tractor Engineering took an active part in the event. They presented the educational opportunities of the university, modern areas of engineer training, and prospects for professional development in the transport and machine-building industries.
During the meeting, college students became acquainted with the specifics of studying at NTU “KhPI”, the content of educational programs, the research areas of the departments, the modern material and technical base, as well as opportunities to participate in project-based, research, and international activities. Special attention was paid to the relevance of engineering specialties in today’s conditions, the development of electric transport, automotive engineering, and energy-efficient and environmentally friendly technologies.
The meeting was held in an open and friendly atmosphere. Students actively engaged in the discussion, asking questions about admission requirements, the specifics of the educational process, employment prospects, and career growth after graduation. This format of live dialogue contributes to the formation of a conscious choice of a future educational and professional path.
Such events are an important component of cooperation between professional pre-higher and higher education, as they help students broaden their understanding of opportunities for continuing their studies and see a logical connection between the knowledge gained and a future engineering profession.
We express our sincere gratitude to the administration of the Kharkiv Motor Transport Professional College for their assistance in organizing and conducting the meeting, for their openness to cooperation and support of career guidance initiatives. Special thanks go to Anton Mykolaiovych Yaruta, Head of the Transport Technologies Department, for his active position, high professionalism, and significant contribution to the training of future specialists in the transport sector.
Cooperation between NTU “KhPI” and the Kharkiv Motor Transport Professional College is an example of effective partnership aimed at the development of technical education and the formation of a new generation of competent, motivated, and competitive engineers.
