On December 16, 2025, a career guidance event was held at Pokotylivskyi Lyceum No. 2, aimed at introducing students to opportunities for further education and helping them choose a future professional path. The event became an important stage in shaping the professional self-determination of lyceum students who are only beginning to think about their future.
During the meeting, students received useful information about modern educational fields, the specifics of studying at professional and higher education institutions, employment prospects, and labor market requirements. The students listened to the presentations with interest, actively joined the discussion, asked questions, and shared their own thoughts on choosing a profession.
Special attention was paid to the importance of making a conscious choice of an educational trajectory, developing one’s own abilities, and the role of education in achieving professional success. Such events help students better understand the diversity of professions, assess their interests and aptitudes, and take the first steps toward building a future career.
A traditional highlight of the meeting was a themed Kahoot quiz dedicated to railway engineering, the history of the field, and interesting industry facts. The interactive format created an atmosphere of excitement and competition, and the winner received a commemorative prize from the department.
The Department of Electric Transport and Diesel Locomotive Engineering of NTU “KhPI” expresses its sincere gratitude to the administration of Pokotylivskyi Lyceum No. 2 for organizing and supporting the career guidance event, as well as to the teaching staff, in particular Liliia Andriivna Karpenko and Alina Oleksandrivna Babaieva, whose professionalism and support ensured that the event was held at a high level.
Holding career guidance meetings in general secondary education institutions is extremely important, as they help young people approach the choice of a future profession consciously and plan their future with confidence.
