Educational program: 122 “COMPUTER SCIENCES”

The main goal of the educational activities of NTU “KhPI” in the specialty 122 “Computer Sciences” at the educational qualification level of higher education “Master” is to provide professional training for specialists who are able to conduct theoretical and experimental research at an innovative level in the field of computer science, possessing modern methods, tools and technologies for the creation of algorithmic and software for information control systems, decision support systems, to design and develop artificial intelligence systems, data and knowledge consolidation, cognitive and service-oriented intelligent systems, with the protection and commercialization of digital intellectual property rights at early stages of development software products and information technologies.

Specialization characteristics:

The object of training for specialization is software for the cognitive computing components of cloud services for information consolidation.

The subject of specialization training is architectural and software solutions of such services, which are planned, designed, modeled and implemented using methods, technologies and tools of Web programming, data and knowledge engineering to solve problems and satisfy the “digital” information needs of a particular clientele or social group, which otherwise are not able to efficiently and rationally access the consolidated information and acquired knowledge, since they are difficult to access in their original form and, as a rule, are obtained from many distributed information sources.

Specialization characteristics:

The object of specialization training is software that reproduces neuromorphic (similar to natural) artificial intelligence architecture, high-performance parallel algorithms that simulate the behavior of the human brain for processing unstructured information and sensory perception of the environment (virtual and augmented reality), cognitive technologies that combine artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms, computer models of human behavior, designed not so much for accuracy as for correctness for solving large-scale computational problems of fuzzy logic, big data, soft computing, and the like.

The subject of specialization training is models, methods, technologies and tools of building software for neuromorphic processors, of complex solution of memory stability-plasticity problems, training and retraining (overfitting) of artificial neural networks, their combination with statistical approaches to machine learning in the chain of cognitive computations (Data Science / Machine Learning / Neural Networks Learning) to ensure decision-making, problem solving and meeting the information needs of a particular clientele or social group that otherwise cannot effectively and rationally access this knowledge because it is difficult to access in its primary form and is distributed over many information resources.

Intellectual Property in Software and Hardware Engineering

Specialization characteristics:

The object of training in specialization is objects of intellectual property rights, including software, digital multimedia content, inventions and utility models for software, system and circuitry solutions, industrial designs, trade secrets and know-how, signs for goods and services, computer programs, databases, websites, brand names and domain names, integrated circuit topologies and other “digital” intellectual property that identify ownership of the digital media for the consolidation of information in the data lifecycle and its content.

The subject of training in specialization is the legal mechanisms for regulating relations between subjects of intellectual property rights in the context of its digital transformation, legal and economic aspects of the commercialization of digital intellectual property, regulation, protection and management of digital intellectual property, protection of confidential information in computer and software engineering.
