26 March – a large-scale event took place, bringing together the future of our science in one of the city’s safest spaces. A major event for pupils from the Shevchenkivskyi district was held at Lyceum No. 105, in a modern underground school!
We were delighted to welcome graduates from no fewer than 10 schools: 📍 No. 129, No. 22, No. 99, No. 135, No. 167, No. 125, No. 132, No. 105, No. 117 and No. 150.
Our department was represented by Head of Department Nadia Babkova and Associate Professor Zoia Kochuieva. They presented the students with pathways to success where language becomes technology:
🤖 ‘Applied and Computational Linguistics’ — a degree programme for those who want to create artificial intelligence, work with NLP and build a career in IT.
📚 ‘Secondary Education: English Language and Literature’ — our new ambitious programme, launched in collaboration with the Department of Pedagogical and Psychological Sciences. This programme trains a new generation of teachers who are proficient in digital tools and modern teaching methods.
Why is this important? 💡 Even underground, Kharkiv’s young people dream, plan and choose their path. We witnessed incredible energy and enthusiasm for combining humanities with the digital world.
Thank you to Lyceum No. 105 for your hospitality, and to the students for your genuine smiles and willingness to change the world for the better. We look forward to seeing you at Polytech! 🚀🎓
