For third-year students of the ICL Department, one of the most demanding and interesting stages of their studies has come to an end — their professional practical training.
Third-year students specialising in ‘Applied and Computational Linguistics’ have successfully completed their translation placement, which was a crucial stage in their professional training. In line with their own professional interests and individual educational pathways, the students independently chose their placement locations.
📈 How were our trainees’ placements distributed?
🏢 In industry and business: Some students undertook practical training at companies and organisations, where they had the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the real-world working conditions of a translator.
🏛️ At the Polytechnic: Some students worked on campus, honing their skills in written and oral translation, working with specialist texts and modern digital tools (CAT tools and AI assistants).
The placement helped develop the professional competencies of future specialists, deepen their knowledge in the field of intercultural communication, and apply theoretical knowledge in practical work. The experience gained was an important step towards shaping competitive specialists in the field of applied linguistics and translation. 🚀💎
Congratulations to the third-year students on a successful completion! We are proud of your professional growth and wish you every success with your final presentations! 🔥
