In February, the PhD thesis defense of Zhang Hongwei, a postgraduate student from China, was held at NTU “KhPI”. The graduate of the Department of Philosophy of Kharkiv Polytechnic University presented the study “The Image of Nature in Chinese Philosophy in the Formation of a Modern Ecological Paradigm in the Studies of Ukrainian and World Sinologists”. The scientist’s work combines Chinese, world, and Ukrainian scientific traditions, emphasizing the importance of intercultural dialogue and the relevance of Sinological studies in a global context. The dissertation develops a philosophical understanding of environmental problems and contributes to the strengthening of international academic cooperation. Even during his studies, Zhang Hongwei actively participated in scientific events at NTU “KhPI” and represented the university at all-Ukrainian and international seminars and conferences. Since 2025, he has been the director of the Center for Development Planning and Research in Higher Education of Jiamusi University (China). The defense was held in Ukrainian.
