The teachers of the Department of General Economic Theory successfully completed the educational program “State Building: Democracy, Civic Participation and International Interaction”!

As part of the “State Building” project, our colleagues – Fedir Abramov, Nataliia Volosnikova, Viktoriia Yatsyna, Svitlana Klymova, Tetyana Dyachenko ang student Krystyna Goncharova- completed an intensive online course that covered key areas of modern state policy and civil society development.

Duration of training: October 3, 2025 – November 1, 2025

Speakers: 11 experts in public policy, democracy and international relations

The participants covered such topics as:

  • European and Euro-Atlantic integration;
  • the work of branches of government and anti-corruption mechanisms;
  • civic participation and legal foundations of a democratic society;
  • modern challenges to state development – environmental policy, digital governance, copyright;
  • diplomatic service and professional standards of journalism.

After successfully completing the program, our colleagues received certificates confirming their active participation in professional development and improving their competencies in the field of state building.

Teachers of the Department of General Economic Theory were awarded with diplomas and certificates of appreciation on the occasion of the 140th anniversary of NTU “KhPI” and the 35th anniversary of business education at the university

The head of the department, Nataliia Volosnikova, associate professor Fedir Abramov and associate professor Viktoriia Yatsyna were awarded with diplomas of honor from the rector of NTU “KhPI” Yevgeny Sokol for the implementation of innovative ideas, many years of conscientious and fruitful work, a high level of professional skill and a significant contribution to the education and upbringing of young people.
The head of the department, Nataliia Volosnikova, associate professor Fedir Abramov and associate professor Viktoriia Yatsyna were awarded with diplomas signed by the director of the NNI EMMB Taras Danko for conscientious and fruitful work, high professionalism, scientific and pedagogical skill and on the occasion of the anniversary dates of the university, Professor Iana Maksymenko, associate professors Tatiana Diachenko and Svitlana Klymova. Iana Maksymenko was awarded a certificate of gratitude from the Ukrainian Association for the Development of Management and Business Education for her significant personal contribution to the activities of UARMBO, tireless work and dedication to teaching.

Our students are among the participants of the international project Erasmus + Jean Monnet Module

From September 10 to November 25, 2025, students of the specialty “International Relations” together with the head of the department, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Natalia Volosnikova, took part in the training course “Resilience to Security Challenges: Ukraine and the European Context” (№101175025 – EUresissecur, Erasmus+ Jean Monnet Module).

As part of the course, which was held as part of the study of the discipline “Introduction to the Specialty”, the participants:

• got acquainted with the basics of the security policy of Ukraine and the EU;

• explored the role of state institutions, civil society and international cooperation in ensuring resilience;

• studied European approaches to responding to crises and maintaining social cohesion;

• analyzed practical cases of implementing EU standards in the field of security;

• mastered modern tools for predicting security challenges and technologies for monitoring societal threats. At the end of the training, students received certificates of participants in the international Erasmus+ Jean Monnet Module project.

The experience of participating in such initiatives forms in young people a European vision, critical thinking, and readiness to act in the face of modern global challenges.
