The tournament in Strzelce Opolskie, Poland, has ended, and we have medals! Raiya Almalalha and Sofia Belobrovchuk, first-year students majoring in Physical Culture and Sports at the Institute of Social and Humanitarian Technologies, won second place in the doubles category!
In the final, the girls lost to representatives of Chinese Taipei. On their way to the final, they confidently defeated representatives of Slovakia, Lithuania and Poland.
In the singles, Raya entered the top eight, but lost to her opponent from England in a tense quarter-final match. Sofia lost to her opponent from Poland in the second round of the competition.
The girls showed a high level of play and achieved the best result among Europeans in the women’s doubles at this competition!
