An event dedicated to promoting the role of women in science was held in Kharkiv on the occasion of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, which is celebrated annually on 11 February 2026.
During the event, visitors could check out experimental demonstrations, scientific developments, and educational opportunities at universities. There was a special focus on career guidance for schoolchildren and teenagers.
The Department of Physical Education also joined the event: teachers held informational talks with schoolchildren, familiarised them with the areas of training, the specifics of the educational process and opportunities for realisation in the field of physical culture and sports.
Mayor Ihor Terekhov congratulated the participants of the event on the holiday.
