Professor of the Department of Physical Education at NTU “KhPI,” Tymur Arabadzhy, served as an Expert at an International Event in Italy
On May 8, 2026, a large-scale scientific seminar dedicated to the role of basketball in the neuropsychomotor development of young people took place at the University Center of the city of Agrigento, Italy. The event brought together leading researchers and sports professionals from Italy, Spain, and Ukraine to discuss modern methods of athlete training.
Particular interest was generated by the presentation of our compatriot, Tymur Dmytrovych Arabadzhy, Professor of the Department of Physical Education at the National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute.” As one of the key speakers of the event, he delivered a report entitled: “The Integrated Model of the Italian Basketball Federation as a Method for Training Young Athletes.” The Ukrainian professor’s experience in combining a strong academic foundation with practical coaching methods became a valuable contribution to the international discussion on the development of youth sports.
The event was held at the Polo Territoriale Universitario di Agrigento with the support of the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI). Participants of the seminar thoroughly examined how physical activity on the basketball court influences cognitive functions and motor skills, relying on the latest scientific evidence.
The participation of Tymur Arabadzhy in the international scientific seminar confirms the high level of professional and academic expertise of the faculty members of the Department of Physical Education and strengthens the reputation of NTU “KhPI” in the field of sports science and education.
