Within the framework of the Erasmus+ programme, Alla Savchenko, PhD, Associate Professor of the Department of Physics of NTU “KhPI”, completed an academic mobility visit to Leibniz Universität Hannover, in particular to the Hannover Centre for Optical Technologies (HOT).
During the visit, she became acquainted with teaching and research laboratories where students, PhD candidates and researchers conduct experimental work in optics and photonics. Special attention was paid to modern optical equipment, including ellipsometry, optical microscopy, and experiments conducted in a cleanroom environment.
The mobility also included an exchange of experience with Professor Bernhard Roth and his colleagues on the teaching of specialised courses in optics, the organisation of laboratory classes and the involvement of students in research activities. The Department of Physics at NTU “KhPI” ‘s experience in project-based learning and interdisciplinary student training was also presented.
The visit strengthened international cooperation between NTU “KhPI” and Leibniz Universität Hannover and laid the groundwork for further joint educational and scientific initiatives, including the possible involvement of students in international projects.
