ICOVP&WMVC Conference September 2–5, 2025, Lisbon, Portugal

International work by Professor T.V. Shmatko

Professor of the Department of Higher Mathematics Tetiana Valentynivna Shmatko became a member of the only Ukrainian group that participated in the 16th International Conference on Vibration Problems (ICOVP-2025) and the 11th International Conference on Wave Mechanics and Vibrations (WMVC-2025), which were held together in Lisbon, Portugal, from September 2 to 5, 2025.

ICOVP&WMVC Conference September 2–5, 2025, Lisbon, Portugal.

The ICOVP&WMVC conference was jointly organized by the Department of Civil Engineering of the School of Science and Technology of NOVA University Lisbon (DEC/NOVA FCT) and the Institute of Mechanical Engineering of the Higher Technical Institute of the University of Lisbon (IDMEC/IST/UL).

This scientific event brought together leading scientists from over 50 countries who devote their work to the development of vibration theory, vibration and wave mechanics, and the application of theoretical research in various fields of engineering.

Tetiana Shmatko gave a live presentation on FREE VIBRATION ANALYSIS OF SANDWICH FUNCTIONALLY GRADED SHALLOW SHELLS WITH AUXETIC HONEYCOMB CORE RESTING ON AN ELASTIC FOUNDATION. The topic of the presented work corresponds to the current trends in applied mechanics and the use of composite materials, in particular, in the aviation, transport, and defense industries.

The results presented by T.V. Shmatko are being implemented as part of the international project NATO G6176 “Composite Metamaterials for Aerospace Structures – CoMetA”, implemented as part of the “Science for Peace and Security” (SPS) program.
