The Department of Electrical Devises trains higher education students (Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctor of Philosophy degrees) in the specialty G3 Electrical Engineering (formerly 141 Power Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Electromechanics) in the following specializations:

  • Electrical Devises
    Electrical Devises Specialization


    Electrical Devises is a specialization that covers a wide range of electrical engineering devices designed for:
    • distributing electrical energy among consumers;
    • controlling electrical receivers;
    • protecting power networks and electrical receivers from overcurrent and overvoltage during unacceptable or emergency operating modes;
    • protecting people, property, and the environment from the harmful effects of electric energy;
    regulating, measuring, and monitoring electrical and non-electrical parameters of various devices, machines, and mechanisms during the production, transmission, conversion, distribution, and consumption of electrical energy.

    The specialization Electrical Apparatus is one of the most in-demand and promising areas, as modern electrical apparatus represents a powerful industry and a dynamic market that is constantly developing and requires highly qualified specialists.

    Duration of Study

    • Bachelor’s degree: 3 years 10 months – for graduates of schools, gymnasiums, and lyceums; 2 years 10 months (shortened form) – for graduates of technical schools and colleges.
    • Master’s degree: 1 year 4 months – Educational and Professional Program (engineering-oriented training); 1 year 9 months – Educational and Research Program (research-oriented training).

    Training and Skills

    The specialization is related to the design, development, research, production, operation, and marketing of modern electrical equipment using computer and information technologies. Students also gain skills in:
    • operation, organization, and management;
    • engineering and economic activities;
    • environmental and commercial activities;
    • research work;
    • computer modeling and graphics;
    • CAD systems;
    • methods for saving electrical energy;
    • automated process control systems with modern microcontrollers for industry, energy, transport, municipal services, and household applications.

    Department Facilities

    The Department of Electrical Devises has a strong academic and research potential and is equipped with modern electrical equipment, digital measuring devices, microprocessor, computer, and multimedia technologies, ensuring the training of highly qualified specialists.

    Further Education Opportunities

    A Bachelor’s degree graduate of the Electromechanics program may continue studies at the Master’s level in Ukraine or abroad. A Master’s degree graduate may pursue the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree at universities in Ukraine or abroad.

    Household Electrical Appliances Specialization


    Household Electrical Appliances is a specialization that focuses on the design, development, production, operation, maintenance, repair, and marketing of modern electrical devices for domestic use and smart home systems. The field covers a wide range of appliances, including:
    • Kitchen appliances for cooking, processing, and storage of food;
    • Climate control and air-conditioning equipment;
    • Sanitary and hygienic devices;
    • Equipment for household mechanization;
    • Intelligent smart home systems for automation and energy efficiency.
    This specialization is part of the G3 Electrical Engineering program (formerly 141 “Electric Power Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Electromechanics”) and is highly demanded worldwide due to the dynamic growth of the home appliance market and the continuous need for qualified specialists.

    Duration of Study

    • Bachelor’s degree: 3 years 10 months – for graduates of secondary schools, gymnasiums, and lyceums; 2 years 10 months (shortened program) – for graduates of technical schools and colleges.
    • Master’s degree: 1 year 4 months – Educational-Professional Program (engineering-oriented); 1 year 9 months – Educational-Scientific Program (research-oriented).

    Training and Skills

    Bachelor’s students acquire competencies in operation, organization, and management, engineering and economic activities, research, programming of microprocessor devices, computer modeling and graphics, computer-aided design (CAD) systems, energy-saving methods, and automated control of household and industrial processes.

    Master’s students additionally gain skills in occupational safety, advanced information search and processing, legal regulation of innovation activities, intellectual property, computer-aided design of intelligent appliances, and integration of smart home systems.

    The Department of Electrical Apparatus provides modern laboratories equipped with household appliances, smart home systems, digital measuring instruments, microprocessor kits, computers, and multimedia technologies, ensuring high-quality theoretical and practical training.

    Further Education Opportunities

    A graduate with a Bachelor’s degree may continue studies at the second (Master’s) level in Ukraine or abroad. Master’s graduates can pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree at universities in Ukraine or internationally.
