Specialty

Applied Physics at NTU “KhPI” is a fruitful combination of classical university education with high-quality technical education.

Specialists in applied physics and nanomaterials are able to conduct fundamental and applied research into the properties and patterns of physical objects, processes and systems, that is, everything that forms the basis of the world in which we live. Our graduates can develop and implement science-intensive technologies, new materials, in particular nanomaterials, devices and systems in all areas of our life. Moreover, they form new natural science knowledge about the world. Therefore, our graduates, who have received fundamental training in physics, mathematics, computer disciplines, foreign languages, work in leading scientific institutions in the world and companies – leaders of scientific, technical and technological progress.

During their studies, students:

  • receive training in the field of solid-state physics;

  • study modern methods of synthesis of new materials;

  • master methods of researching the properties, composition, and structure of materials and modern equipment for controlling their quality;

  • learn the basics of high-tech nanomaterials;
  • receive in-depth computer training for the development and operation of specialized software and technological equipment;
    and much more.
