SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS– Vacuum technology for production of thin films of metals and semiconductors by thermal vacuum evaporation, rf magnetron sputtering, magnetron sputtering DC, condensation in quasi-closed volume;- Crystal structure, optical, electrical and photoelectric properties of the ZnO thin films: Al, ZnO: In, ITO, SnO2: Sb, CdTe, CdS, Cu (InGa) Se2, CuInSe2, CuGaSe2 and device structures based on them;- Design and technological solutions of thin film solar cells on glass and flexible substrates based on CdS / CdTe, CdS / Cu (InGa) Se27.
  7. INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC ACTIVITIES AND PROJECTS
    1995-1997 – participation in the international project INTAS 94-3998 «High performance thin-film solar cells based on chalcogenide semiconductors” (Project Coordinator – Stuttgart University, Germany).1997-1998 – participation in the international project 7IP050129 «Thin-film solar cells based on semiconductor compounds” (Project Coordinator – Swiss Institute of Technology, Zurich).

    1997-1999 – participation in the international project INTAS 94-3998 «Making halkoperitnih thin film solar cell activation method” (Project Coordinator – Stuttgart University (Germany).

    2001-2002 – the local UNESCO expert in the international project TSP / UK / 0003/102 “Creation of the center for the use of solar energy in the city of Odessa.”

    In 1998 (2 months), in 2002 (3 months), in 2003 (6 months), and in 2006 (5 months) – I was an intern in the “Physics of Thin films” group at the Swiss Institute of Technology (Zurich) under the guidance of prof. A. Tiwari. This group over the last 5 years holds the world record efficiency for flexible solar cells based on CdTe and CIGS. In 2006 the world record for flexible solar cells based on CdTe was obtained by Khripunov G.S. as evidenced by ref. [6] (please see below), and in accordance with ref. [5] and the international patent Hripunov G.S. is the co-creator of the world’s first right-sensitive film solar cells based on cadmium telluride.

    2009-2010 – Head of the international project STCU 4301 “Development of laboratory technology of thin film solar cells based on cadmium telluride,” which was funded by the European Community. In the project our department collaborated with the Institute of Semiconductor Physics, Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and Institute of Physics, Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan.
