On April 21, 2021, an online round table was held at the Department of Natural Sciences of the Faculty of International Education, dedicated to career guidance and adaptation of international students of the pre-university stage of preparation “Education. Science. Success”.
The main task of this event is to assist and provide practical assistance to international students of the preparatory stage of education in solving the problems of choosing a future specialty, participating in research projects, admission to graduate school and much more.
Deputy Dean of FMO NTU “KhPI” Associate Professor Drozdova A.A. opened a round table, which was attended by 65 participants. 9 reports of international students were heard, who spoke about the professions of their dreams, demonstrated excellent knowledge of the scientific style of speech in Ukrainian and English, the ability to conduct a dialogue with the audience and answer questions on the topic of the report: Dur Akhmet Enes (Turkey), Tunch Emre (Turkey), Altanbayar Erdenebayar (Mongolia), Du Sizhou (China), Abediju Mariam (Iran), Dou Kai (China), Varol Idil (Turkey), Wang Sinyue (China), Ilkim Sumeraka (Turkey).
The round table was also attended by students of the Faculty of Social and Humanitarian Technologies of NTU “KhPI”: Zenati Sanae (SGT-420ie), Muhlis Yalciner (SGT-419ie), who spoke about the creation of a group of psychological and adaptive support for international students of the pre-university stage of preparation, which was created at the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology of Social Systems Management named by acad. I.A. Zyazyun together with the Department of Natural Sciences.
Representatives of educational and scientific institutes of economics, management and international business, chemical technologies and engineering, faculties of social and humanitarian technologies, computer science and software engineering and computer and information technologies spoke about their specialties, scientific achievements of the university, invited foreign students to continue their studies at NTU “KhPI” and emphasized the importance of choosing a future profession.
Round tables for international students, which are held by the Department of Natural Sciences, are bright events for which students carefully prepare together with teachers; try to organize and present their report to the audience in an interesting, interactive, visual form, which creates an atmosphere of celebration and excellent mood. Thus, a student Wang Sinyue (China), as a gift to her beloved university, painted a picture – this is the rector’s building of our university, and a student of Ilkim Sumeraka (Turkey) prepared a poster in the form of a building for international students (Str.Vesnina 5a).
At the Department of Natural Sciences FMO classes in Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Drawing, University Education and Biology are held online according to the schedule.
March 3, 2021 Students of FIS visited the Welding Department of NTU “KhPI”. Representatives of the department spoke about training at their faculty, prospects for graduates and demonstrated the work of machines and equipment.
Every year on November 10, the world celebrates World Science Day under the auspices of UNESCO. On November 12, 2020, the Faculty of International Education of NTU “KhPI” hosted an annual round table dedicated to the International Science Day online with the help of Google Meet. The event is organized by the Department of Natural Sciences FIE.
During the round table the problems of active involvement of foreign students in scientific activities were discussed.
The round table was attended by foreign students who prepared interesting reports on their research and studies at our university, told about the development of science in their countries and in Ukraine, and shared their plans for future research and further study at NTU ” HPI “.
Deputy Dean of FIE Assoc. Anna Drozdova congratulated the participants of the round table and wished them successful learning and scientific achievements.
As part of the round table, the Center for the Promotion of Science among Foreign Students was opened, where students can get acquainted with the specialties and research activities of our university, as well as take part in scientific experiments.
