The conference was attended by more than 120 postgraduate students taking the course ‘Foreign Language for Communication in the Scientific and Pedagogical Environment’ at the Department of Intercultural Communication and Foreign Language. The speakers’ topics covered various fields of knowledge: economics, AI, sociology, energy, etc. Despite the shelling of many regions that day due to full-scale aggression and the lack of Internet and electricity, most participants were able to join the conference. The speeches were vivid and exciting, highlighting the day’s pressing issues, especially in Ukraine, and how to improve the state and development of various industries in the current environment. Other participants unable to join the conference can publish their abstracts and articles in the conference proceedings and a professional journal.

This conference demonstrated the strong scientific potential of the postgraduate students of the National Technical University Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute. The Department of Intercultural Communication and Foreign Language is pleased to teach English to future Ukrainian scientists.

As a unique opportunity, first-year postgraduate students can gain invaluable experience by participating in an international conference. They can present their research in English, publish their scientific work in conference proceedings and professional journals. This experience not only enhances their language skills but also fosters critical thinking, scientific generalization, and self-presentation, with the support of their supervisor and foreign language teacher.
