On 9–10 October 2025, the 24th Ukrainian Scientific Conference ‘Topical Issues of the History of Science and Technology’ was held, co-organised by the National Technical University ‘Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute’. The conference was attended by representatives of leading scientific institutions, museums and academies: the National Historical and Architectural Museum ‘Kyiv Fortress’, the O.P. Borodin Research Centre, the State University of Infrastructure and Technologies, the B. Paton State Polytechnic Museum at the NTUU ‘KPI’ named after The plenary session of the conference was chaired by Dr. O. Tverytnykova, Professor at the National Technical University of Ukraine ‘KPI’, who gave a presentation on the history of the Department of History and Archaeology.
The plenary session of the conference was chaired by Dr. O. Tverytnykova, Professor at NTU ‘KhPI’, who gave a presentation on the history of the Department of Ukrainian Studies, Cultural Studies and History of Science in the context of celebrating the 140th anniversary of the founding of NTU ‘KhPI’. Teachers and postgraduate students of the department took an active part in the conference. The conference brought together scientists of different generations, fields and regions and created a space for discussing a wide range of topics — from the history of natural science and technical achievements to the digitization of cultural heritage. Particular attention was paid to the role of museums, archives and educational institutions in preserving national historical memory.
