In September and December 2020, associate professors of the Department of Ukrainian Studies, Cultural Studies and History of Science Svitlana Telukha and Artem Kharchenko were participants in international scientific workshops conducted by the Moldova Institute Leipzig (MIL). The events were dedicated to the field of conflicts of memory and finding ways to overcome the past, the problem of human rights. The workshops took place in the cities of Berlin-Leipzig-Dresden (Germany). The work of the workshops included a series of meetings with representatives of German universities and cultural institutions, visits to memorial sites, work with research projects. Participants from Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia had the opportunity to discuss with German colleagues, learn about the peculiarities of commemorative practices in Germany, discuss the educational process. During the event, a number of excursions were organized for the participants, including a visit to the Dresden Gallery.

14 січня 2021 року доцент кафедри Харченко Артем став учасником міжнародного наукового семінару (вимушено захід було проведено онлайн), який мав відбутись в Університеті Хайфи (Ізраїль). Захід було проведено в межах виконання міжнародного дослідницького проекту “Vivat Membrum Quodlibet: контакти єврейських та неєврейських студентів в імперському університеті Харкова, 1805-1862 рр.”. Під час заходу з доповідями стосовно проекту виступили доцент Харченко “Imperial University of Kharkiv and formation of Kharkiv Jewish Community, 1840-1870th” та Др. Світлана Наткович (Університет Хайфи, Ізраїль). Після виступу проект було обговорено за участі науковців Університету Хайфи та Єрусалимського університету. 5. Poster of an international scientific seminar.

On January 6, the first meeting of the Department of Ukrainian Studies, Cultural Studies and History of Science of NTU "KhPI" took place in the new 2021 year. The teaching staff of the department considered the procedure of NTU "KhPI" for the period of lockdown on January 8 - 24, features of remote winter examination session in full-time and part-time departments, planning and implementation of scientific and methodical work, as well as proper documentation including examination information. The staff of the department congratulates our colleagues and students on the New Year 2021 and continues its dedicated work.

 

At the regular meeting of the Department of Ukrainian Studies, Cultural Studies and History of Science, professors reported on the transition to distance learning, discussed the existing challenges of distance and online education. Teachers shared their experience.

There was also a successful discussion of the dissertationfor the degree of Candidate of Historical Sciences Pisarska Natalia Vitalievna on "Development of tractor enterprises (mid 40's - early 90's of the twentieth century." Specialty 07.00.07 - History of Science and Technology

March 12, 2020 at the Scientific and Technical Library of NTU "KPI" on the initiative of the Department of Ukrainian Studies, Cultural Studies and History of Science, Hnat Khotkevich Ethnographic Museum "Slobozhansky Treasures"  local history event "One Street History" was held.

The 17th International School-Seminar “Modern Pedagogical Technologies in Education” was held at NTU “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute”.
During the three days (January 29-31), the participants engaged in pedagogical workshops, workshops, business games, trainings, discussions, demonstrations aimed at the formation, development and improvement of personal and professional competences of teachers.

Among the activities of the seminar school is a master-class of Assistant Professor of the Department Eugenia Konstantinovna Shishkina "Designing a multimedia presentation"
