On April 3, 2026, Associate Professor of the Department of Biotechnology, Biophysics and Analytical Chemistry, Iryna Anatoliivna Bielykh, delivered a guest lecture at the National University of Pharmacy on the topic: “Introduction to Biosensors. General Characteristics of Biological and Chemical Sensor Systems.”
The lecture was aimed at facilitating the exchange of professional expertise among specialists in the field of biotechnology and at enhancing the scientific competencies of students and academic staff within the interdisciplinary domain of biosensor technologies. The content of the lecture was aligned with contemporary scientific trends and focused on the fundamental principles and classification of biological and chemical sensor systems, as well as their functional characteristics.
Particular emphasis was placed on current directions in the development of sensor technologies and their practical implementation in biotechnology, pharmaceutical and food industries, medical diagnostics, and environmental monitoring. The presented material contributes to the advancement of professional competencies and supports the integration of modern scientific approaches into the educational process in accordance with current requirements for higher education quality assurance.
