On May 8, 2026, representatives of the Department of Biotechnology, Biophysics and Analytical Chemistry of the National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute” took part in a career guidance event — a science picnic held at Reshetylivka Lyceum in the Poltava region. The event was aimed at promoting modern science, biotechnology, and engineering specialties among school students.
During the meeting, the lyceum students had the opportunity to become acquainted with the educational program “Biotechnology and Bioengineering,” learn about current trends in the development of the biotechnology industry, modern scientific research, as well as career opportunities for graduates in the fields of pharmacy, medicine, food technologies, ecology, and bioengineering.
The Department of Biotechnology, Biophysics and Analytical Chemistry was represented by Associate Professor Anna Pavlivna Bielinska and Head of the Laboratory, Senior Lecturer Nadiia Serhiivna Yaremynets. During the event, they discussed with the students the specific features of studying at NTU “KhPI,” opportunities for participation in scientific research, international educational programs, internships, and modern STEM-oriented areas of training.
The participants showed particular interest in the interactive scientific demonstrations, practical aspects of biotechnology, and discussions on the role of modern science in the development of society and future technologies.
The department’s participation in such career guidance events contributes to fostering a strong interest among school students in natural sciences, biotechnology, and innovative technologies, while also helping prospective applicants make informed decisions about their future professional paths.
