On June 23–24, 2026, the Department of Ceramics, Refractories, Glass and Enamels Technology of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Chemical Technologies and Engineering at the National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute” successfully held the defense of Bachelor’s qualification theses for students enrolled in the Bachelor’s degree programme in Specialty 161 – Chemical Technologies and Engineering.
Over the course of two days, full-time and part-time students successfully presented their qualification theses and engineering projects. The topics covered a wide range of current issues in materials science, ceramics technology, refractories, glass, enamels, cements, and construction materials.
The presented research and engineering projects focused on:
- the development of advanced dielectric and radio-transparent ceramic materials;
- the design of new cement compositions and binder materials;
- the improvement of manufacturing technologies for construction ceramics and sand-lime bricks;
- the production technology of glaze frits;
- the investigation of the electrophysical properties of functional ceramics;
- the development of decorative materials and innovative approaches to improving the quality of ceramic products.
During their presentations, the students demonstrated a high level of professional competence, solid theoretical knowledge, practical skills, and the ability to analyze research results and propose modern technological solutions. Their presentations generated considerable interest among the members of the Examination Committee and led to productive scientific discussions.
