Representatives of the Department of Electric Transport and Locomotive Engineering of NTU “KhPI” participated in the 2026 IEEE 7th KhPI Week on Advanced Technology (KhPIWeek), an international scientific and technical conference held on 5–9 October 2026.
The Department was represented at the conference by Professor Borys Liubarskyi and Associate Professor Yevhen Riabov.
The Department’s postgraduate student, Maksym Stetsenko (A-2024 cohort), also actively participated in the conference. On 6 October, he delivered an oral presentation in Track 3: Power & Energy Systems.
The title of his presentation was:
“Energy-Saving Potential in High-Speed Hybrid Plug-In Train When Switching Off Motors.”
The presentation focused on investigating opportunities to improve the energy efficiency of high-speed hybrid railway rolling stock by optimising the operating modes of traction electric motors.
The participation of the Department’s representatives in an international conference contributes to the exchange of research results, the development of professional contacts, and the international dissemination of the Department’s scientific achievements.
We wish our colleagues and postgraduate student continued success in their research and further professional achievements!
