Meeting of Section 7 “Electric Transport” of the SIEMA 2026 International Symposium Held at the Department of Electric Transport and Locomotive Engineering

A meeting of Section 7 “Electric Transport” of the SIEMA 2026 International Symposium was held at the Department of Electric Transport and Locomotive Engineering of the National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute”.

The meeting featured presentations addressing current issues in improving energy efficiency and developing electromechanical systems for transport vehicles.

Invited experts Yurii Mykolaiovych Vaskovskyi and Mykhailo Oleksandrovych Kolesnikov delivered a presentation entitled “Modelling of a Closed-Loop Electromechanical System for Energy Recovery from Vertical Vibrations of a Vehicle Suspension”.

Another presentation, entitled “Prospects for Reducing Energy Consumption through Partial Disconnection of Traction Motors in a High-Speed Electric Train”, was delivered by Maksym Ihorovych Stetsenko, a postgraduate student, and Borys Hryhorovych Liubarskyi, Head of the Department.

The meeting was attended by department staff, postgraduate students, and undergraduate students. The presentations and subsequent discussions provided an opportunity to exchange research ideas, present scientific findings, and discuss prospects for further research.

The Department of Electric Transport and Locomotive Engineering would like to express its sincere gratitude to the invited speakers and all participants for their insightful presentations, active involvement, and interest in scientific research!
