On 23 April 2026, a large-scale career guidance trip was organised by representatives of the National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute” to the resilient town of Balakliya. The focus was on a meeting with Year 10 and Year 11 pupils who are already choosing their path in the digital world.
Our Department of Intelligent Computer Systems was represented by the Head of Department, Nadiya Viktorivna Babkova, and Associate Professor Zoya Anatoliivna Kochueva.
Why do graduates choose ICS?
During a lively discussion with over 100 school pupils, we presented our key educational programmes:
‘Applied and Computational Linguistics’: how to teach artificial intelligence to understand human language and where linguists work in the IT sector.
‘English Language and Foreign Literature’: a new concept for training ‘teacher-leaders’, combining philology and modern EdTech technologies.
The pupils from Balakliya impressed us with their enthusiasm and readiness to face the challenges of the modern world.
We are confident that it is precisely these ‘agents of change’ who will soon join the ranks of our department’s students.
