On 15 May, we had a wonderful opportunity to meet the ‘foundation year’ students from the Kharkiv National Technical University.
For the Department of Applied Linguistics, this is not just career guidance, but a chance to see the eyes of those who will be creating new language processing algorithms and training AI tomorrow.
Our lecturers shared the secrets of the profession and explained why Applied Linguistics is the bridge between humans and computers. 💻🗣
What interested the prospective students the most?
📌Which programming languages do we study alongside foreign languages? 🐍🇬🇧
📌Is it difficult to combine philological analysis with the logic of code?🧐💻
📌Where do our graduates work (spoiler: everywhere — from IT giants to creative agencies)?🔍🦾
The children impressed us with their preparation and thought-provoking questions.
The country’s future is in safe hands! 🚀
