Science is not just about theory, but also about taking bold steps towards a technological tomorrow. As part of the events dedicated to Science Day, the Institute of Software Engineering at NTU “KhPI” is opening a space for professional discussion on the role of AI in the academic environment.

We invite academic staff, postgraduate students and undergraduates from all disciplines to join the discussion that will change your perception of modern education!

📍 What will we be discussing?

During the roundtable, participants will discuss how artificial intelligence is transforming the modern university, what opportunities it opens up for lecturers and students, and which ethical, methodological and organisational challenges require particular attention.

🎤 Event programme:

  • Babkova N., PhD, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Intelligent Computer Systems: ‘Personalisation of AI at university: memory, context and responsible use’

The presentation will focus on the adaptation of generative AI to the individual educational and research needs of the user, the role of context, the capabilities and limitations of AI memory, as well as the principles of safe and responsible use of such tools in a university environment.

  • Kupriianov E., PhD in Engineering, Associate Professor, Department of Intelligent Computer Systems: ‘The Practical Use of Gemini Chatbots in the Teaching Process’

The presentation will examine practical experience in using Gemini chatbots to support teaching, facilitate interaction with students, create educational content and enhance the effectiveness of the teaching process.

  • Malikov V., PhD in History, Associate Professor of the Department of Ukrainian Studies, Cultural Studies and History of Science: ‘Ethical aspects of using AI in academic work’

The presentation will focus on issues of academic integrity, authorship, the appropriate use of AI in the preparation of academic texts, source verification, researcher responsibility, and the development of an ethical culture for working with digital tools.

The round table will serve as a platform for professional discussion on the role of artificial intelligence in the development of the university of the future, the exchange of practical experience, and the identification of prospects for the responsible implementation of AI in educational and scientific activities.
