General provisions

The Educational and Scientific Institute of Computer Modeling, Applied Physics and Mathematics of NTU “KhPI” ensures the right of education seekers to a fair evaluation of the results of their studies and the protection of their rights in the event of controversial or conflict situations.


The procedures for submission, consideration of appeals and complaints are regulated by the university’s internal normative documents, in particular:

  • Regulations on the organization of the educational process at NTU “KhPI”;
  • The procedure for considering complaints of education seekers at NTU “KhPI”.

Right to appeal

The student has the right to file an appeal in case of disagreement with the results of the assessment (examination, assessment, defense of work, etc.). Basic provisions:

  • use AI tools as a full replacement for independent performance of educational, course, qualification or scientific works;
  • submit AI-generated results as your own;
  • provide statements about results and conclusions without proper analysis, verification and refinement;
  • use AI to fabricate or falsify data, research results, calculations, software code or sources;
  • generate non-existent links or experimental results;
  • violate confidentiality, in particular, transfer personal data, materials with limited access or research results to AI services without the permission of the authors/singers;
  • to use AI during control activities (exams, testing, defenses, etc.), if this is not provided for by the conditions of their conduct.

Submission of complaints

Education seekers have the right to file a complaint regarding any issues of the educational process, in particular:

  • violation of the assessment procedure;
  • improper behavior of participants in the educational process;
  • conflicts of interest;
  • violation of academic integrity;
  • other violations of the rights of education seekers.

In accordance with the Procedure for handling complaints of education seekers at NTU “KhPI”:

  • the complaint can be individual or collective;
  • submitted in writing (in person or electronically);
  • addressed to the rector, vice-rector or director of the institute;
  • should contain the essence of the question and justification.

Complaints procedure

Complaints are handled in accordance with established university procedures:

  • the appeal is subject to mandatory registration and consideration;
  • verification of the stated facts is carried out;
  • relevant structural units or commissions may be involved in the review;
  • based on the results of the review, a decision is made in accordance with the current regulatory framework of the university.

The learner is informed about the results of the complaint consideration within the established terms.

Additional opportunities to protect the rights of education seekers

The University provides additional mechanisms to protect the rights of applicants:

  • the possibility of applying to student self-government bodies;
  • participation of student representatives in resolving controversial issues;
  • ensuring the openness of evaluation procedures (in particular, public defenses of works);
  • functioning of the internal system of ensuring the quality of education.

Principles of consideration of appeals and complaints

All appeals are considered in accordance with the following principles:

  • objectivity and impartiality;
  • privacy;
  • timeliness;
  • transparency of procedures;
  • compliance with academic ethics and legislation of Ukraine.

Procedures for submission and consideration of appeals and complaints at NTU “KhPI” are aimed at ensuring a fair educational environment, protecting the rights of education seekers and improving the quality of the educational process.


Every student of education has a guaranteed right to appeal and a fair consideration of his application in accordance with the established normative documents of the university.
