Members of the student research community engaged in advanced mathematics studies at our department continue to actively integrate into the modern research landscape. On April 14–15, 2026, in Kyiv, a major event took place—the Young Scientists Symposium “Digital Tools and Academic Practices of the Modern Scientist”.
Our department was represented at the event by Karolina Zadorozhna (БЕМ-д925а) and Artem Kovalsky (Е-423б). Their participation was preceded by a competitive selection process, during which the young researchers demonstrated the relevance and quality of their scientific work, earning the right to join the professional community.
The program of the symposium, held at the country’s leading universities (Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv a> and Mykhailo Dragomanov National Pedagogical University), was extremely rich and focused on the implementation of modern digital methods in the research process. This applied focus of the symposium allowed students not only to familiarize themselves with theoretical foundations but also to master the tools for optimizing research activities. Participants note that the knowledge gained has direct practical significance for their future work on scientific projects.
Key areas covered by the participants:
- Artificial Intelligence Tools: Hands-on workshops on using Gemini, NotebookLM, and Perplexity to optimize research activities.
- Vibe coding: An introduction to the latest approaches to programming using AI, which is critical for modern mathematical computations.
- Digital Hygiene and Ethics: Exploring the principles of academic integrity when working with digital data.
- Scientific communication: Workshops on building one’s visibility in the global academic community and managing digital author identifiers (ORCID, academic profiles).
Following the symposium, the students received certificates confirming their new competencies in the field of digital academic practices.
We warmly congratulate our young researchers! We are confident that the “digital toolkit” they have acquired will serve as a solid foundation for their future achievements.
