✍️On October 13, 2024, the XV City Tournament of Young Journalists was held in Kharkiv in a face-to-face format at the premises of the Metro School at the Universytet metro station. This event was also attended by representatives of the Department of Software Engineering and Management Intelligent Technologies of NTU “KhPI” – engineer, senior lecturer Karina Yakovenko evaluated the competition as a member of the jury, and the head of the department Andriy Kopp held an informative workshop for high school students on the topic “Artificial intelligence in creating and detecting Internet fakes”.
🤖Today, artificial intelligence is becoming an integral part of our lives, and therefore can bring not only benefits but also threats. That is why the representatives of the SEMIT Department told young journalists about the use of AI to create fake news, manipulative content and disinformation, and most importantly, demonstrated the capabilities of AI to detect such threats and analyzed several real-life examples in detail.
👏The boys and girls showed interest in the workshop topic, were interested in the educational programs and opportunities of the SEMIT Department of NTU “KhPI”. The tournament was attended by 45 students of 9-11th grades of general secondary education institutions in 9 teams from all districts of the city.
