A meeting with future IT professionals!
Наприкінці 2024 року Національний технічний університет «Харківський політехнічний інститут» приєднався до програми Huawei ICT Academy. Уже за перші місяці ця ініціатива принесла вагомі результати!
At the end of 2024, National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute” joined the Huawei ICT Academy program. In the first months, this initiative has already brought significant results!
During February-March 2025, students of the Department of Software Engineering and Management ntelligent Technologies (SEMIT) took part in the prestigious international competition Huawei ICT Competition 2024-2025.
Having successfully passed the National stage, three of them were selected to participate in the Regional stage of the competition (Europe). Yurii Kunets and Yegor Kopylov (group KN-224a.e) competed in the Computing direction, and Vladyslav Zaplitnyi (group KN-224c.e) – in the Cloud direction.
Vladyslav Zaplitnyi’s result was a real breakthrough: as part of an international team that also included students from Ukraine and Poland, he was selected to participate in the Global Stage of the Huawei ICT Competition 2024-2025, which will be held from May 20 to 24 in Shenzhen, China.
Vladyslav will represent not only NTU “KhPI”, but also the whole of Ukraine at this prestigious world competition!
Since Huawei invites not only students, but also teachers-mentors to participate in the Global Stage, Volodymyr Sokol, Associate Professor of the SEMIT Department, will go to China – he is the head of the laboratory and the Innovative Campus educational trajectory, which Vladyslav is studying.
Volodymyr Sokol will accompany Vladyslav as a mentor and university representative, supporting the student at all stages of the competition.
It is the high-quality modern IT education of NTU “KhPI”, in particular the unique educational technology “Innovative Campus”, that has opened up new opportunities for our students and employees to develop in the field of information technology and allowed us to respond to international challenges.
Huawei ICT Competition is one of the largest international competitions in the field of information and communication technologies, bringing together students from more than 80 countries. Its goal is to identify talented young people, develop professional skills, and help train specialists for the digital future. The global stage of the competition will take place in Shenzhen, the technological heart of China and one of the world’s leading innovation hubs, where the offices of global IT companies, including Huawei’s headquarters, are located. The visit will also include an excursion to Hong Kong, which will allow the participants to get better acquainted with the modern technologies, culture and international IT environment of the region.
