⛰️ CHOOSING A DIRECTION – DOES IT MEAN TAKING THE SAME PATH?

📍 Two people can say: “I’m going to the Carpathians.” But one will raft down the Cheremosh River. The other will spend the night under Hoverla.

And only you decide:

 – which trails you will follow

– how much you will take with you

– who will be your guide

– where you will stop for the night

– what you will see along the way

 – and which peaks you will conquer.

The same goes for choosing a field of study:

🔸 A specialty is just the name of the field.

🔸 An educational program is your trajectory, your style, your result.

🎓 By choosing a program, you determine exactly how your journey will go — and who you will become at the finish line.

📚 What is an educational program – in simple words?

This is your personal learning path. It includes:

– mandatory and elective subjects

– duration and language of instruction

– teaching approach (lectures, practices, projects, internships)

– opportunity to choose a trajectory for yourself

And most importantly: this is not a template, but a flexible constructor that allows you to build your own path to a profession.

🧩 Be careful! Even within the same specialty, there can be completely different educational programs.

For example: 🔸 Computer Science (F3) major :

 — Artificial Intelligence

Modeling and Computer Graphics

🔸 Applied Mathematics (F1) specialty :

 — Data mining

Mathematical modeling and computer mechanics

That is why it is important to look not only at the name of the specialty, but above all at the content of the educational program.

🧭 What does this look like in practice?

🧠OP Intelligent data analysis

Specialty: Applied Mathematics

Focus: working with big data, modeling, machine learning

🔹 Combination of deep mathematics and modern IT tools

🔹 Project-based and dual learning

🔹 Disciplines in Ukrainian and English

🤖 OP Artificial Intelligence

Major: Computer Science

Focus: artificial intelligence, neural networks, cybersecurity

🔹 Modern algorithms, deep learning, mobile systems

🔹 Internship in the Innovation Campus laboratory

🔹 CDIO standards and real cases

📌 Both educational programs were developed at the Department of Computational Mathematics and Data Analysis (CMDA) . For many years, we have been preparing bachelors who understand data, algorithms, and modern IT solutions.

But each program is a separate route. Choose yours. And let it be exciting. 💫
