Remote career guidance events in May 2025

Active career guidance work is ongoing for applicants entering the J4 specialty “Occupational Health and Safety” of the “Occupational Health and Safety” study program in 2025. In May 2025, one of the final chords of remote career guidance in the 2024/2025 academic year was an event at Izyum Lyceum № 10 (Kharkiv region). We have long-standing ties with this educational institution, as students of this lyceum participated in the “Safety Through the Eyes of Children” competitions held by our department in 2013-2021. In this educational institution, a remote career guidance event was conducted by a group of teachers, including assoc. prof. Liudmyla Vaskovets, assoc. prof. Eugene Yascheritsin and senior lect. Larysa Yashchenko. It took place on May 15 with the active assistance and support of the deputy director for educational work Ihor Davydenko, and was attended by 13 students and 2 classroom teachers: Anna Korotka and Lyudmila Kirilchenko.

During this event, assoc. prof. Eugene Yascheritsyn told the audience about NTU “KhPI”, the benefits of studying there, in particular, in the specialty J4 “Occupational Health and Safety”, various aspects of last year’s admission campaign to higher education institutions, and the preparation for this year’s, which has been going on for a long time. In turn, assoc. prof. Liudmyla Vaskovets spoke about the prospects for employment and career growth after graduation in the J4 “Occupational Health and Safety” program.

Speaking to the students, assoc. prof. Eugene Yascheritsin organically combined the demonstration of the presentation with information about the specialty and conducting demonstration measurements with the devices of the training laboratory of the department of Occupational and Environmental Safety of some parameters of harmful and dangerous production factors, namely, temperature – with a Mestek IR01C pyrometer, industrial noise level – with a sound level meter RTF 00024 “Robotron” and air velocity – with wing anemometers VTMETER VT-816V and cup anemometers MS-13.

An important component of the career guidance event was the presentation of the article by senior lect. Larysa Yashchenko of the international relations of the department in the context of the internship of students of specialty J4 “Occupational Safety and Health” in European higher education institutions – the University of Western Bohemia (Czech Republic) and Jan Dlugosz University in Czestochowa (Poland).

The career guidance event held at Izyum lyceum №10 aroused great interest among students, teachers and the administration of the educational institution, as evidenced by the large number of questions asked to the speakers.
The career guidance work of the department’s teachers continues!

Associate professor of the department «OandES» Eugene Yascheritsin
