Educational-professional and educational-scientific programs of the department

The Department of Electric Transport and Diesel Locomotive Engineering provides education to students
at the first (bachelor’s) level of higher education under the educational and professional program “Electromechanics” specialty G3 Electrical Engineering (141 Electric Power Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Electromechanics); under the educational and professional program “Locomotives and Locomotive Engineering” specialty J7 Railway Transport
at the second (master’s) level of higher education under the educational-professional and educational-scientific programs “Electromechanics” specialty G3 Electrical Engineering; under the educational-professional and educational-scientific programs “Locomotives and Locomotive Engineering” specialty J7 Railway Transport
at the third (Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)) level of higher education under the educational and scientific program 141 Electric Power Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Electromechanics.

The duration of bachelor’s training is 4 years. In the second year, the educational process is divided into specializations. In addition, starting from the second year, students are given the opportunity to choose courses with in-depth study of the calculation and design of railway rolling stock and its manufacturing technologies.
