🎓 ALL-UKRAINIAN IT CUP’25: WHEN EDUCATION BECOMES AN ADVENTURE

From October 6 to 12, 2025, the IT Cup’25 “Kharkiv Triathlon” took place — a multidisciplinary tournament for students of grades 9–11, organized by NTU “KhPI” on the occasion of the university’s 140th anniversary.

The event was organized by three departments of NTU “KhPI”:

  • Department of Computer Mathematics and Data Analysis

  • Department of Cybersecurity

  • Department of Foreign Languages

They ensured the substantive content of the program, professional support of the competitions, and a true atmosphere of academic collaboration.

This year, 77 educational institutions from 10 regions of Ukraine registered to participate, and 90 teams from 8 regions advanced to the finals. Most teams represented the Kharkiv region, while students from Kyiv, Kirovohrad, Rivne, Dnipropetrovsk, Ternopil, Zaporizhzhia, and Odesa regions also joined the competition.

All participants were divided into two leagues:

  • League 1 for classes with advanced study of mathematics, physics, economics, or IT (38 teams)

  • League 2 for classes of other profiles (52 teams)

🗓️ A program that keeps the pace

IT Cup’25 lasted almost two weeks — from October 6 to 24 — and consisted of an intensive educational component, themed competitions, and final events. The format was designed to combine learning, practice, and a game element.

  • October 6–10 — daily online sessions in mathematics, programming, English, and cybersecurity. Participants attended short lectures, immediately completed tests, worked in teams, searched for solutions — all in real time with mentor support.

  • October 11 — the Mathematics Cup and the English Cup took place — the first themed competitions where teams competed for victory in their league.

  • October 17 — the Algorithmic Programming Cup, which brought together the most resilient participants.

  • After each cup, participants could submit appeals: open review sessions were organized to analyze competition results in mathematics, English, cybersecurity, and programming.

  • October 23 — a special day: the absolute winners were invited to the ceremonial celebration of NTU “KhPI”’s 140th anniversary, where a special awards ceremony was held as part of a major academic event.

  • October 24 — the ceremonial online closing of the Cup in the shelter of NTU “KhPI”: results, emotions, gratitude, and new plans.

The IT Cup is not just a competition, but a large-scale educational event that brings together a community of students, teachers, mentors, and partners from across Ukraine’s technological landscape.
