Why do we buy what we buy?

On March 30, 2026, the Department of Marketing of NTU “KhPI” held an educational and introductory online meeting with students of grades 8-9 🧑‍🎓

The event was attended by students:
🏫 Gymnasium No. 86, Lyceum No. 87 of Kharkiv,
🏫 Khoroshiv Lyceum of the Bezlyudiv Village Council,
🏫 Lipkuvatov Lyceum.

🔹 Topic of the meeting:
“Why do we buy what we buy? Secrets of the influence of marketing.”

👩‍🏫 The meeting was held by Associate Professor of the Department of Marketing Olena Kitchenko, who explained in an accessible and interesting way:
• how marketing works in everyday life;
• what influences consumer choice;
• why advertising works exactly the way we feel it.

💡 Participants actively participated in the discussion, asked questions and discovered new aspects of modern marketing for themselves.

Such meetings help students better understand the profession and take the first steps towards a conscious choice of their future specialty 🚀
