Department faculty successfully complete the programme “Digital Course Design & Teaching in DigiUni Environment” within Training of the Trainers sessions of the international ERASMUS+ CBHE “Digital University – Open Ukrainian Initiative” Project at NTU “KhPI”

Faculty and staff members of the CCCFL Department Associate professor, PhD V. Larchenko, Associate professor V. Rubtsova, Senior lecturer D. Novytska, Senior lecturer N. Kartun and Senior laboratory assistant I. Novytska successfully completed the internal professional development programme “Digital Course Design and Teaching in the DigiUni Environment”, implemented within the framework of the international Erasmus+ KA2 project “Digital University – Open Ukrainian Initiative” (DigiUni – ERASMUS-EDU-2023-CBHE).

From 14 April to 30 May 2026, participants actively developed contemporary digital competencies required for designing high-quality online learning environments and implementing innovative teaching approaches in higher education.

The programme was delivered in a blended learning format, combining synchronous online sessions, independent work on the DigiUni platform, intercoaching collaboration, and practical individual assignments. The total workload comprised 90 academic hours (3 ECTS credits).

During the programme, participants completed 6 intensive training sessions, gaining hands-on experience and insights into key areas of digital education transformation, including:

  • methodologies for digital content and course design;
  • quality assurance tools for digital educational content;
  • modern approaches to microlearning and microcourse development;
  • digital course templates for fostering higher-order thinking skills;
  • copyright and intellectual property issues in digital education;
  • the educational potential of H5P and SCORM technologies;
  • online tutoring, course management, and assessment in Moodle;
  • innovative teaching methodologies and Project-Based Learning (PBL) approaches.

During the training period, on April 20, 2026, the Head of the Department, Doctor of Psychological Sciences, Professor Tetyana Sergeyeva, delivered an open lecture entitled “Microcourses: How to Scale Depth in a Short Format — from Micro-Content to Micro-Transformation.” The event brought together staff members of the National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute” as well as representatives of the universities – members of DigiUni consortium, becoming a platform for professional dialogue on current trends in digital education and innovative approaches to instructional content design. During the lecture participants explored contemporary approaches to developing microcourses as an effective tool for modern education, enabling the combination of a compact format with meaningful depth and real transformative learning outcomes for students. The event attracted significant interest from the audience and sparked an engaging professional discussion, once again confirming the relevance of microlearning in the context of the digital transformation of education.

Participation in the programme marked an important step in the professional development of academic and support staff, opening new opportunities for the creation of interactive digital courses, enhancement of educational quality, and implementation of innovative pedagogical practices within the department. The knowledge and practical skills acquired during the training are expected to contribute significantly to the further development of the department’s digital educational environment and strengthen the innovative capacity of the CCCFL Department.
