The work of the student research group “Leadership and Teamwork” (in English) is aimed at developing competencies in the field of leadership strategies and skills, as well as generalising knowledge about modern theories, concepts and models of leadership to implement this knowledge in individual experience, professional training and self-development.
The aim of the club is to teach students to:
– demonstrate an understanding of modern requirements for effective leadership in a dynamically changing society;
– work in a spirit of cooperation, in a team project;
– make decisions in compliance with the ethical principles of their implementation;
– use individual experience as a resource for developing leadership skills.
With the help of the acquired knowledge and skills, students will be able to develop critical thinking; skills to direct communication in the right direction; learn to be confident and assertive; learn skills of self-expression and feedback; learn to overcome conflict situations and turn the dialogue into a constructive direction; be able to form an effective team for optimal task solution.

You will learn how to evaluate different sources of scientific information, study the factors that an author needs to consider to achieve a balance when writing news articles, science stories, press releases, blogs and science videos.
The problem-solving group programme will explore different forms of science writing, the components needed to write news articles, press releases, blogs; use video stories to communicate science information to different types of audience; and learn how to conduct an interview, write a news story, blog post or video script.
As a result, you will learn how to determine the audience, angle, main idea and structure of an article, understand the function of scientific blogs and videos as communication tools, and learn how to develop news articles, blog posts or video scripts.
